No Tobacco Day, 31st May 2026
Observance of World No Tobacco Day: Our Commitment Against Substance Use.
As part of its outreach commitment, the NCC Unit of RKMV, Shimla observed World No Tobacco Day on 31st May 2026.
Various awareness activities were organized with the objective of creating awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and promoting a healthy, tobacco-free lifestyle among youth and the community.
An awareness rally was conducted from the college campus to the Mall, Shimla, to spread the message of a tobacco-free society. The rally succeeded in reaching a large number of people and disseminating the message of a tobacco-free life. During the rally, the cadets also interacted with local residents and youngsters, encouraging them not only to refrain from the use of tobacco but also to seek the help of a doctor or counsellor if they are struggling with tobacco use disorder.
The programme was an initiative of the NCC cadets and reflects their commitment to social responsibility and public health awareness.
