Observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficing. 26th June 2026
On 26 June 2026, 18 NCC cadets of Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV), Shimla, participated in the observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking organized by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Himachal Pradesh Government.
The event was conducted with the objective of educating students and the community about the harmful effects of drug abuse and emphasized the importance of adopting a healthy, disciplined and drug-free lifestyle.
The NCC cadets actively participated in awareness rallies, slogan-writing, poster-making activities, and public awareness campaigns, demonstrating their commitment to promoting a drug-free society and raising awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The event concluded with the cadets taking a pledge to remain drug-free and actively spread awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse in society
