EEE (English Employability and Entrepreneurship)


Introduction


The EEE (English Employability and Entrepreneurship) is a skill development programme certified bythe sector skill council MEPSC (Management and Entrepreneurship and Professional Skill Council. The Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam hereby implemented this programme for Training of 5000 Final Year Graduating Students from selected Government Degree Colleges in English, Employability and Entrepreneurial (EEE) Skills under Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Project.In today’s globalized economy, it has become increasingly important for an individual to acquireand regularly sharpen their domain skills as well as interpersonal skills. These skills are requirednot only for those aspiring for wage employment but also those who aspire to setup their ownbusinesses. Over the last few years feedback from the industry has revealed that Himachaliyouth though well versed in domain skills are often deficient in written and oral communicationand are not confident while facing interviews. Moreover, given the narrow industrial base of theState and lack of adequate wage placement and growth opportunities, it is pertinent toencourage innovative young minds to nurture entrepreneurial mindset for enhancing theirlivelihood options.

In order to bridge the gaps, HPKVN intends to facilitate development of English speaking,Employability and Entrepreneurial skills amongst the 5000 Final Year Graduating Students fromselected Government Degree Colleges in the State. The target of 5000 will be divided into fivezones of the State of Himachal Pradesh.

Total graduating candidates enrolled in RKMV College Shimla under EEE programme

Batch 1,Batch 2,Batch 3,Batch 4 - 30 students each (120 enrolled students)

The project is envisaged to achieve the following outputs:

  • Output 1: Enhance English speaking skills and holistic development of students
  • Output 2: Understanding the core skills of Employability
  • Output 3: Understanding the core skills for Entrepreneurship
  • Output 4: NSQF 5 aligned skill training in English, Employability and Entrepreneurship for 120 enrolled final year candidates to facilitate their transition into varied careers

    • EEE Skill Development Training Design:

    a)Mobilization of Candidates - Prospective candidates for this training module were mobilized and counselled by two Master Trainers in RKMV College Shimla ( H.P).

    b)) The following QPs corresponding to Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC) were executed under this package: -

  • 1. Use Basic English for Employability Skills- Variant III, MEP/N9993 v 1.0 for 60 hours.
  • 2. Use Generic Skills for Employability- Variant II (NOS), MEP/N9995 v 1.0 for 75 hours.
  • 3. Plan for Basic Entrepreneurial Activity (NOS), MEP/N9996 v 1.0 for 20 hours.

    • c) Participant handbooks were distributed amongst all participants.

    d) Assessment and certification of candidates will be undertaken by MEPSC in March 2023.

    Course Outcome

  • i. Improve the communication skills of the candidates and enhance expressive abilities
  • ii. Facilitate and enhance English-speaking skills of the candidates.
  • iii. Initial preparedness on opportunities for both Employment and Entrepreneurship.
  • iv. Prepare the candidate to face interviews with confidence and give him/her an edge over others in getting a good/desired job.
  • v. Holistic development of the candidates and instil confidence.
