education. Meaning and classification of Valve education are

This course introduces students to the basic concepts of
educational sociology and relationship between sociology of
education. Concept of social change and factors affecting
social change and role of teachers and school in it. In this
course the students are introduced to the definition, and
characteristics of community and impact of school on
community. Process of socialization and teacher’s role in
socialization is also described.
