Philosophical Foundations of Education
In this course meaning, aims and function of education are explained. It also provides the knowledge of basic schools of Philosophy and their contribution in the field of education. Meaning and classification of Valve education are also explained.
Sociological Foundations of Education
This course introduces students to the basic concepts of educational sociology and relationship between sociology of education. Concept of social change and factors affecting social change and role of teachers and school in it. In this course the students are introduced to the definition, and characteristics of community and impact of school on community. Process of socialization and teacher’s role in socialization is also described.
Psychological Basis of Education
In this course concept of Psychology and Educational Psychology, nature and scope of Educational Psychology and its nature and scope are described. This course is designed to enable students to know about the various methods of educational Psychology. The course will concentrate on principles of growth and developed and concept of adolescence.
Development of Education in India
This course analyses key aspects of Vedic, Buddhist and Islamic Education during ancient and medieval period respectively. It also highlights the features of education in Pre-Independence Era. Development of Indian Education post-Independence period with special reference University Education Commission (1948 -49) Secondary Education Commission (1952-53) Kothari Commission (1964-66) are also discussed in this course.
Life skills Education
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to life skills and its components and methods and techniques for developing life skills.
yoga
This course highlights the meaning and characteristics of Yoga, Ashtanga yoga of Patanjali: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharma, Dayana & Samadhi. Stress management and techniques of relaxation are also described in this course.
Educational Management
This course provides the basics of educational Management, effective leadership in Educational Management, management of teaching learning process and institutional Planning and Management.
Inclusive Education
In this course of concept of Inclusive Education is introduced, different categories of special children and their identification and characteristics are described here. Techniques and aids for these children are also given in this course. Policy and programmes regarding inclusive education are also mentioned here.
Pedagogy of Education
This course describes about Pedagogy and pedagogical skills, teaching methods and techniques and about learning Resources.
ICT in Education
This course develops a systematic exposition of ICT in education, technology for classroom instruction and also introduces the new trends in education.
Education for Peace
The main objectives of the course are to provide the knowledge of fundamental of Peace Education, Agencies of peace education, Philosophical Resources and Methods and approaches for Peace Education.
Educational Thoughts and Practices
This course seeks to enrich the knowledge of the students regarding educational thoughts of Western Philosophers, basic Contributions of Philosophers in Education and basic Educational Thoughts and Practices.
